It's getting Worse

Just as I thought this Mystic Moon thing might straighten itself out, more bad news.  Jennifer Mitchell, the so-called CEO, is not answering her e-mail or her home phone.  The business phone has been disconnected.  Now I'm really upset.  Just to think all she would have to do is tell us the business didn't work out and close down the site.  Sigh.  So now I have to contact the FBI on internet fraud, her bank and the host of her website, hostmonster.com and inform everyone she is a fraud.  This is the last time I'm going to trust a small epub...no more niceness.  I'm done, most of them are run by clowns who can't get their act together.
Please don't buy any Mystic Moon press e-books!

Mystic Moon Press mystery.

Well, the rumor mill is up and churning.  Is Mystic Moon Press one of the many epubs to fail?  First we're told that there was some kind of identity theft and that's why we weren't getting paid for our stories, now a key member of the staff and up and quite.

I tried emailing the CEO Jen but so far, silence.  Silence makes me very nervous.  I have quite a few books with them and am probably going to get the shaft.  That's what I get for being nice and trying to help out a new company...but then, it's not like I was up for a Pulitzer but it still makes me sad to think that someone would take the money and run.  I'm not saying that's what's happened, but that's what's going around...and then there's the silence from the CEO.

Nothing to do but wait and see.

Taking Risks

As a writer, I try to read a lot. Not only do I set up camp at my local bookstore and write like a fiend for hours but, as a special treat, I like to troll around after I’m done and scan the shelves for anything new and fun to read. Sometimes I find a winner, like Angela Knight’s Warrior, or Michael Connelly’s Echo Park. But in the romance section I was disappointed to find that most of the offerings were contemporary or vampire/werewolf paranormal. Maybe it’s just my local B&N…Now before some of you get offended and start e-mailing me that vamps rule, let me assure you that I too love a good vamp/werewolf romp but I keep hoping for something…else. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t blame the authors. I’m sure there are plenty of them out there trying new and different heroes but perhaps the publishing industry just isn’t ready for them.
*sigh*
So until then I guess I’ll just have to keep looking…

Well at least we have e-books, right? In my humble opinion, I think the best erotic romance is on the web. We e-book authors certainly have the most freedom when it comes to diversity. Check out Stephanie Burke’s Liger, and Barbara Karmazin’s The Huntress, for a great taste of something new and different.

Well now to the bug what’s new with me…So much my darlings. I have a few exciting reads coming out in September. Two books I hope you’ll adore are the Siren Warrior Series: Maiden’s Curse coming out mid-Sept from Whiskey Creek Torrid and Flight coming out September 7th from Mystic Moon Press. Please stop by these fine publishers and check them out!
Until next time my dear readers, stay safe and check back next month.
Monster Hugs,
Michelle

The Siren Warrior Chronicles

Hello my friends. I'm just too excited to tell you that the Siren Warrior Chronciles (books 1, 2, 3) got a Recommended Read from Joyfully Reviewed~

Here's and excerpt:

The clang of steel was music to her ears. They’d been sparring behind the villa for almost two hours and she could tell Caraculla was completely distracted. Gypsy parried a horizontal chop from his saber with ease and playfully stabbed at his belly. “You’re getting old and slow,” she said, laughing and slicing the air.
“I have a lot of things on my mind,” he said, grabbing his canteen and gulping down some water. Some of it ran down the sides of his mouth, trickling down his throat and making damp ribbons over his thick chest. He was a bewitching sight in his sexual frustration. He tossed the canteen down and his nostrils flared as he approached her for another attack. Gypsy took advantage of his poor guard and kicked him in the chest, knocking him back about three feet.
Now he was pissed.
Leaning his head back, he sent a chilling reptilian screech into the early morning air. If she’d been his real enemy, she probably would have gotten a face full of venom. As it was, she just grinned. He was so damned sexy. With startling speed, he charged her. She sidestepped him and attacked him from the side as he passed close. Despite being so close, she never made contact. He blocked her with a slide slice and launched a few angry chops designed to drive her back. She tripped over a root and fell on her butt, wincing as he came down over her. He stared into her eyes, panting. Some sweat from his face dripped onto her cheek. Gypsy’s cheeks flushed with heat. “That,” he said, placing his saber to her neck, “is a kill.”
Laying her saber down, she leaned into him and touched her lips to his. The kiss was hot and short, but potent. She scooted back to get up, but he wasn’t going to accept a brief kiss from her. Caraculla put down his weapon and pulled her against him, claiming her mouth with his own. Suddenly, Gypsy was engulfed in a heated passion she never knew was in him. He pushed her down on the ground, his mouth spreading fire everywhere it went. A moment later, all thoughts of practice evaporated from her mind.

What's new in Erotic Romance?

Hey great news dear readers! My science fiction erotic tale The Mission is Whiskey Creek Torrid's best selling ebook for 2008. Stop by and pick up your copy today!

More good news: Machine Lust: Black Copper is #1 for the month of March.

Like most writers, I’m a firm believer in giving stuff away to attract more readers and reward those who have taken the time to read my stuff. That’s why I’m delighted to tell you that for the month of April Whiskey Creek Torrid is giving away my erotic sci fi thriller The Doomsday Incident which was featured in 2007 October Samhain Scorchers. Now before you go all crazy on me wondering where you can get your hands on a copy of the story, I have a handy link right here.

But remember, it’s only available beginning April 1st and runs through the end of the month so hang in there ;)

What else is going on aside from free stuff? Well, my lovelies I have been hard at work writing. I have decided this year will be all about paranormals. I’ve penned a werewolf tale, I have a GREAT vampire tale in the outline stage, and (knowing me) I’ll probably have a few sci fi erotics thrown in. So please stop this website often and I’ll make sure to let you know what’s coming out when.

I’m also really excited about two new releases; The Siren Warrior Chronicles which bundles the first three books in the series into one large volume. This is a great value! And I have another end-of-the-world erotic romance in the same vein as Hungry Planet and The Doomsday Incident called Scorched Earth. This adventure has a kick as older heroine and a smoking hot future cop with a sexual appetite to die for LOL.

So get out and enjoy the spring weather dear reader but make sure to keep your nights free from some great e-books that are sure to keep you blushing!

Big, hairy monster hugs
Michelle
